Our Order Processing & Fulfillment Guidelines
At Christmas Gift Baskets Inc., we strive to process and ship your orders as quickly as possible. Please review our fulfillment policy for details regarding order processing, shipping, and delivery.
Order Processing
- All orders are processed within 10 minutes after placement, and a confirmation email is sent to the provided email address. If an order is canceled after 4 hours of being placed, a 20% restocking fee will apply.
- Orders are shipped the same day (if the same-day service is selected at checkout) or within 1-5 business days unless a future delivery date has been requested by the customer.
- Once the order ships, a shipping confirmation email with tracking details will be sent.
- Orders are not shipped on holidays.
Shipping and Delivery
- Our delivery partners, including Canpar, Purolator, UPS, FedEx, Canada Post, and local couriers, offer delivery options ranging from 1 to 7 days depending on the recipient’s location.
- Please note that delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed from the time you place your order.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party courier services. Customers experiencing delays should contact the courier directly for updates.
- Orders placed after 2:00 PM EST will be processed the next business day and shipped with the fastest available shipping method, including overnight delivery where applicable.
- Same-Day” or “Next-Day” delivery applies only when the Overnight Delivery option is selected at checkout. Orders placed with Standard Ground Service follow an estimated 3–5 business-day window and are not guaranteed for specific delivery dates or occasions. Please note that weekends and statutory holidays are not counted as business days. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be processed on the next business day (Monday). If the Overnight Delivery option is selected during the weekend, the order will ship on Monday and arrive on the following business day.
Damaged Shipments
- We do not offer refunds for damaged items, as shipping and handling are managed by third-party courier services.
- If your package arrives damaged, please contact the courier directly to file a claim for compensation.
- We are happy to assist by providing shipment details and supporting documentation if needed.
- We are not responsible for any damages caused by third-party courier services. However, in certain cases and at our discretion, we may offer a one-time replacement of the basket. In such instances, the customer will be responsible for covering the additional shipping costs.
Undeliverable Orders
- If an order is returned to us as undeliverable, a refund will be issued minus the cost of shipping.
International Shipping
- We ship exclusively to Canada and the USA.
- Shipping costs are provided at checkout and included in your order confirmation.
- All orders are shipped from warehouses within Canada and the USA, so no import duties apply to these shipments.
No Refunds for Delivery Delays
- Once an order has shipped, the responsibility for delivery lies with the courier. We cannot issue refunds for delivery delays caused by carriers, missed delivery windows, or external circumstances.
- Orders shipped later than seasonal estimates due to carrier backlog or high volume are outside our control.
Delivery Confirmation & Liability
We recommend shipping to an address where someone is available to accept the delivery. If no one is present, the courier may leave the package in a “safe place” or attempt re-delivery per their guidelines.
If a package is marked as delivered by the courier to the address you provided, we consider the orderfulfilled and complete, and we cannot be held liable for loss or theft after delivery confirmation.
